Questions
Before you order.
My connection isn't in the catalogue.
Measure it with a caliper and enter the size: the catalogue only saves you doing that for standard systems. If you don't have a caliper, send the brand and model to info@raccorda3d.com: we'll tell you the size, and add it to the catalogue if needed.
What if it doesn't fit?
We remake it free of charge with the correct measurements, once per order.
Are they suitable for water?
Yes, for water flowing by gravity: sink and shower drains, condensate from air conditioners and boilers, gutters, overflows. For a lasting seal, a bead of silicone on the joint or a hose clamp over the anti-slip rings is enough. Not for pressurised water (taps, plumbing, irrigation connected to a tap), hot water from washing machine and dishwasher drains, or drinking water.
Can I see a fitting before ordering?
Yes, in two ways. In Italy we ship a limited number of free printed sample fittings every month, so you can judge the material and finish: the counter below the title shows how many are left. From any country, if you have a 3D printer, you can download the STL sample for free, together with a cone gauge to measure pipes. The result of that print depends on your printer and settings.
What's written on the part?
Every fitting carries the embossed RACCORDA3D mark, on a smooth band that stays outside the pipes.
What material is it?
Indoors PETG, tough and slightly flexible, ideal for push fits. Outdoors ASA, which stands up to sun and rain. Not suitable for air or water above 60 °C, such as exhausts from dryers, stoves, washing machines and dishwashers.
How does the quick-release coupling work?
The fitting comes in two parts with magnets sealed inside the plastic: you can't see them and they can't come loose. They come apart with a pull and snap back together by themselves, already aligned.
How do bends over 45° work?
With 2 ways the fitting comes in two parts, each with half the bend, that plug into each other. With 3 or 4 ways the main part brings the way out at 45° and an included push-in elbow completes the angle up to 90°. Turning the plugged-in part aims the way where you need it; a drop of glue locks it.
How do I make a Y, a T or a cross?
Choose 3 or 4 ways. Way 1 is the starting pipe; for each other way choose the diameter, how it connects and how much it is tilted from the vertical axis: 0° carries straight on, 90° comes out to the side. A Y is one straight way and one at 45°, or two ways at 30° on either side; a T is two ways at 90°, one left and one right. Inside, the passages blend with smooth curves.
Do you also make rectangular fittings?
Yes, with 2 ways: rectangular to rectangular, rectangular to round, straight or bent up to 90° (over 45° in two parts that plug together). In “What are you connecting here?” choose “A rectangular duct”, then enter the duct's width, height and corner radius. No gas and no pressurised water: these fittings are for air and gravity-fed water.
Can it screw onto a jerrycan or a tank?
Yes, with 2 ways: in “What are you connecting here?” choose “A threaded connection” and your container's thread. There are IBC tank valves (S60×6 and S100×8), DIN 51, 61 and 71 jerrycans, GL 45 lab bottles and 3/4″, 1″ and 2″ pipe threads, for gravity-fed water only. Your thread isn't there? Send us the brand and model or a photo: we'll check it and add it.
