RACCORDA3D · Cone gauge for inside diameters
============================================

IMPORTANT: the print result depends on your printer, material and settings. The gauge only reads
correctly if your printer prints accurate diameters: check it as described below before trusting it.

Three cones: 15–45 mm, 40–85 mm, 80–130 mm.
Marks every 1 mm of diameter (4 mm of height between marks), long marks with a number every 5 mm.

PRINTING
- Standing up, wide base on the bed. No supports.
- PETG or PLA, 0.2 mm layers, 3 perimeters, 15% infill (the walls are 2 mm thick).
- Approximate filament: 15-45 about 32 g, 40-85 about 95 g, 80-130 about 176 g (PETG).
- Calibration check: the base of the 40-85 cone must measure 91.0 mm with a caliper.
  If it measures more or less, the readings are shifted by the same amount.

USE
1. Pick the right cone and insert the tip into the mouth of the pipe, straight, without forcing it.
2. The cone stops where its diameter equals the inside diameter of the pipe.
3. Read the mark that lines up with the edge of the pipe. Between two marks you can estimate half a millimetre.
4. Example: the edge is halfway between marks 63 and 64 → inside diameter 63.5 mm.

ACCURACY
- About ±0.3 mm, if the printer is calibrated and the pipe edge is cut straight and clean.
- Damaged, flared or burred edges give wrong readings: measure on a clean section.
